Every affiliate marketer is looking for the target market that will bring the greatest profit. There is no magic formula. Instead, a simple plan works best. Affiliate marketing isn't rocket science, but you do need to have a strategy. It just takes proven tactics and tenacity.

Proven methods for online marketing continue to work today. With these top three affiliate marketing tips, increase sales and do extremely well with affiliate marketing online.

Practice #1 - Always use unique web pages to promote each separate product you're marketing. Don't lump all your products together on one page or website. Web hosting is very cheap today and it's much better to have a site focused on each product.

Always include product reviews on the website. In this manner, visitors will feel that you (or someone) has actually used the product and has an opinion about it.

Always include testimonials from people who have tried the product. Be sure the customers are willing to give you permission to use their information on your site. If you're just starting out, you can likely find testimonials on the product owner's website.

Write articles outlining the use of the product and put them on the website. Make the pages eye-catching, persuasive and ask them to act on the information. Each headline should compel the reader and encourage them to read even more. Always emphasize the benefits of the product.

You can offer free reports to your prospects. Position them at the top side of your web page so they are sure not to miss them. You can use these as autoresponder messages as well and send them to all of the prospects that enter their information in your autoresponder sign up box. Research indicates that a sale is closed on the seventh contact. So, you should always have an autoresponder.

Practice #2 -- Two things can happen when a prospect lands on your website: they will either purchase from you or they will click away from the page, never to return. When you send helpful information to them on a regular basis, you'll build a relationship and remind them of your product. Always ensure that the content of your messages are directed towards the benefits and specific reasons to buy the product. Never make your messages sound hyped up like a sales pitch.

If you offered the free reports mentioned above, make sure that they opt-in to your autoresponder before they can download the reports. Focus on important points like how your product can make life and things easier and more enjoyable. Include compelling subject lines in your email messages. As much as possible, avoid using the word "free" because there are still older spam filters that will dump the message before your potential customer can ever read it.

Practice #3 -- There should be a major focus on targeting the traffic to your website based on your product. When the people visiting your site have little or no interest in what you're offering, you won't make sales and they won't come back. Post articles to ezine publications and article directories. This is really an easy way to market and can be extremely effective and lucrative.

You should try to post at least two articles per week. More is better, of course. Each article should contain 300-600 words. By continually posting articles you can generate upwards of 100 targeted readers to your site in a day with one article. In fact, by clicking on the links below, you can learn how to generate much more than 100 readers with one article. Only 1 out of 100 people will be interested in buying your product or retaining your services. When you can generate 1,000 targeted hits for your website in a day, you will make about 10 sales on average. Considering that you will profit about $25 on an average priced Clickbank product, when you multiply your daily earnings by 30 days, that totals $7,500 per month. That's not too bad for a little bit of perseverance and some writing.

The techniques I've described here are not complex. All that's required is to plan your time wisely and then take the necessary action consistently.

Try to use these tips for several affiliate marketing programs. You will create a good source of income if you just have a plan and perseverance. Most affiliate marketers fail because they do not have a plan or they are lazy. Just think of the huge paychecks you will be receiving!
